Summer Abroad Returnees
Welcome back! We hope that you had a fun and rewarding experience abroad. So what
now? Summer Abroad and the Education Abroad Center (EAC) have many resources to
help you take advantage of the experience you had abroad.
From studying abroad again to working at the EAC, you have many options for staying
involved with the study abroad and international communities. If you have been bitten
by the travel bug, you may want to
go abroad again to start learning the language of the country you just visited
or to study for a longer period of time. Or you may be concerned about logistical
matters (see “transcripts and grades” to the left). You might like to take time
for self-reflection by visiting the
Global Scholar page where you can learn more about how to continue your
international engagement. You are also invited to visit the EAC’s
Welcome back! page where you can learn about social events for returnees
and opportunities to stay involved with the international community at UC Davis.
Get involved!
Summer Abroad needs your voice. Help us spread the word about your program by reaching
out to your friends and others in your classes. You can share your student perspective
about the location and program at an Information Session or answer questions from
prospective students via email, Facebook—or over coffee. Also, if you any of your
friends participate in a 2010 Summer Abroad program and write your name on their
Statement of Intent to Enroll you can be entered in a raffle for a chance to win
cool prizes such as an iPod or a Flip Video.
