The temperature in Japan during the summer is usually hot and humid during the day (average 72-88 degrees Fahrenheit). Most of Japan has a rainy season in the summer, and frequent typhoons occur from August through October. There will likely be some afternoon rainstorms, so some type of raincoat and/or umbrella is essential. Bring clothes that you can layer for ease of comfort.
