Flight Arrangements

The nearest airport is Berlin Tegel International Airport. When making your flight plans be sure to schedule your arrival time so that you will be able to arrive in time to check in to where you are staying. More detailed arrival information will be available in the Program Specific Guide (Feb-Apr).

Students should not purchase airfare until a Summer Abroad program coordinator emails instructions for making flight arrangements (anytime February to April—depending on when program meets minimum enrollment)

Note: All participants are responsible for making and paying for their own travel arrangements. However, Summer Abroad encourages participants to use the class email listserv to find other students to travel with.

Please do not purchase your airfare until your program has reached minimum enrollment and is in confirmed status in your student login. UC Davis Summer Abroad recommends that all participants purchase trip cancellation insurance at the time they purchase their flights. Trip cancellation insurance can be purchased to cover lost program costs. Students who cancel or withdraw will not be refunded program costs after the cancellation deadline.

On Site Orientation: TBA
First Day of Class: August 4
Last Day of Class: August 28
Check Out: August 30* (optional check-out on August 31--after program end date)

*If you need to arrive early or stay late, you will have to make your own housing arrangements. Note that the last day of the program is August 30, but you can stay in the dorms until August 31. Students staying in Berlin later than August 31, need to make their own housing arrangements.
