Students will stay in single rooms in shared apartments in the Kreuzberg neighborhood. Kreuzberg is one of the best-known areas of Berlin and considered to be one of the city's cultural centers. Apartments are equipped with kitchenettes and bathroom. More detailed information about accommodations and classroom location will be available in the participants' Program Specific Guide (available in spring).
Meals are not provided. However, you can cook in the dorms or buy food at the university cafeteria (Mensa) or any of the nearby restaurants. The Mensa near the classroom is open Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch. Meals cost about $4.00-$6.00. Some travel sites say the Kreuzberg neighborhood in where students will be staying is known for its good value restaurants.
