There are several international airports that are fairly close to Freiburg. When making your flight arrangements, be sure to take into consideration the cost of ground transportation and the length of time it will take to reach Freiburg. The nearest airport is the EuroAirport, which serves the cities of Basel, Freiburg and Mulhouse. Most students in the past choose to fly into Frankfurt, a few also to Zürich because they got a better rate on their tickets and you have more direct flights from the US.
Please do not purchase your airfare until your program has reached minimum enrollment and is in confirmed status in your student login. UC Davis Summer Abroad recommends that all participants purchase trip cancellation insurance at the time they purchase their flights. Trip cancellation insurance can be purchased to cover lost program costs. Students who cancel or withdraw will not be refunded program costs after the cancellation deadline.
