Monterverde - Visit to ecological sanctuary founded by Quakers from the US, 3 days and nights to study the community, bird sanctuaries and ecological habitats. Monteverde is also home to the Cloud forest and Santa Elena Reserve, there is much to experience. The Arenal Volcano is also nearby for your viewing.
Puerto Viejo de Limon - 3 days 2 nights at this Afro-caribbean community. You will study the community and identity development of African immigrants to Costa Rica and the impact of tourism and United States immgration to this developing region of the Caribbean.
Talamanca - The program will be hosted by a religious community dedicated to promoting health, education and cultural preservation. You will spend 4 days learning and doing community service.
